DESCRIPTION:We are changing the date and stepping up the game. \nOur 6th Annual Beer Recipe Cook-off will move from June (when we are all busy) to March (when we are all bored). We are also adding a judging component for all participants and spectators. \nThe Rules and Details:\nPrepared food entries must include beer.\nRecipes judged for: taste\, difficulty and significant use of beer.\nThe two categories of entry are entree and dessert.\nFood and recipe to the brewery for judging March 5\, no later than 5:45 pm.\nOutlets will be provided for hot dishes\, refrigeration for cold. \nIf you choose to share your food at the brewery\, please prepare the dish so that it is easily sampled and served. A label is nice too. \nThe Prizes:\nPrizes will be awarded in the entrée and dessert division as well as People’s Choice and Overall.\nEach contestant will be entered into a drawing for a catered dinner for two with beer pairings.\nThe winning recipe in each category will be featured in our annual Brewer’s Dinner held in May.\nWinners will get their name and recipe on the trophy held at the brewery.

Each winter month we’ll be open one Sunday\, and on that Sunday all sales will be donated to a charitable cause of our choosing. For every dollar you spend on beverages\, we will donate one dollar. Tip jars will also go to the cause\, so you can donate as much as you like. And\, because we love it here\, we’ll spend every dollar locally. \nFebruary’s Charitable Cause: Republic Senior Center\nOpen four days a week\, the senior center provides a place to play cards\, socialize and be active. Contributions will help pay for utilities and basic needs (coffee!).
