CITY OF REPUBLIC JULY 16 2007 REGULAR MEETING

Those present: Mayor Shirley A. Couse. Council Members: Linda Hall, Alex Wirt and Dave Michel.

Guests Present were: Bruce McAuley, Brenda Starkey and Pat Fisher.

Employees Present were: Chris Stevens

Mayor Couse called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the pledge of allegiance

Council reviewed the July 2, 2007 Minutes. Dave Michel moved to approve the July 2, 2007 minutes. Linda Hall seconded; motion carried.

Alex Wirt discussed changes to proposed Ordinances #2007-09 & #2007-10. The changes will be made and tabled to the next regular meeting.

Council discussed Resolution #2007-08, tabled to the next regular meeting.

Grant Administrator, Linda Hall updated Council that the City has now received all the monies from CTED for the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Linda has sent 13 draft copies out for comment and has sent notification to the News Miner to inform the public that there is a draft of said plan at City Hall for review until August 31, 2007. Linda Hall updated Council on The Sherman Pass Scenic By Way work schedule.

Mayor Couse discussed with Council about the son of Lauren Roberts, doing some community service work in Patterson Park to earn merit badges. Dave Michel suggested that he present a plan to Council at the next regular meeting.

Linda Hall discussed with Council about the City Crew compiling a street sign and pole inventory including costs for replacement to the next regular meeting.

Alex Wirt discussed with Council about Casey Giddings drilling a small hole in the flag pole holders on the street lights so water would drain out.

Council went into executive session at 8:00 p.m. for a personnel issue, for approximately 15 minutes. Council came out of executive session at 8:15 p.m.

Council reviewed 3 new building permits.

Council reviewed letters sent from and received into City Hall. Dave Michel moved to pay claims checks #19007-19029 in the amount of $48,313.65. Linda Hall seconded; motion carried.

Alex Wirt moved to pay payroll checks #102659-102666 in the amount of $3,860.00. Dave Michel seconded; motion carried.

Alex Wirt moved to adjourn the meeting. Linda Hall seconded; motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
