CITY OF REPUBLIC June 9, 2009 SPECIAL MEETING

Those present: Mayor Shirley A. Couse. Council Members: Alex Wirt, Dave Michel, Jim Burnside and Linda Hall.

Employees Present were: Chris Stevens.

Mayor Couse called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Mayor Couse asked Deputy Clerk Chris Stevens if she wanted a personnel issue regarding her discussed in open session or executive session, Deputy Clerk Chris Stevens opted for executive session.

Council went into executive session to discuss a personnel issue for approximately 30 minutes at 4:01 pm.

Council came out of executive session at 4:31 pm.

Mayor Couse asked how long the ad for the Deputy Clerk position should run in the newspaper. Discussion followed. Council decided that the ad will run until June 26, 2009 at 3:00 pm. Reviewing of the applications will be done on June 29 & 30 at 4:00 and interviews will be held on July 7 & 8, 2009. Mayor Couse, Clerk Margo Sattler, Council Members Dave Michel and Jim Burnside will be performing these tasks.

Dave Michel moved to adjourn the meeting. Jim Burnside seconded; motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
